Profast
was
originally
set
up
by
Bobby
Jeffries
in
Church
Street
Ballymena,
Northern
Ireland
in
1956.
It
was
set
up
to
supply
Stainless
Steel
Pipe
and
Fittings
to
a
rapidly
expanding
Chemical
Industry
at
the
time
and
was
involved
in
projects
for
companies
such
as
Monsanto,
ICI,
Dupont
and
British
Enkalon
etc.. In
1995
the
company
was
to
change
hands
for
the
third
time
in
it's
40
year
history
when
a
Management
buyout
was
put
together
by
Brendan
Flynn.
Backing
for
this
major
change
within
the
company
was
provided
by
ICC
Bank
(now
Bank
of
Scotland
(Irl)
Ltd)
who
today
hold
30%
of
the
equity
in
the
parent
company.
This
gave
the
impetus
for
further
change
and
on
1st
July
1996
the
company
changed
it's
name
to
Profast. |
